Each year, the University of Utah Senior Class presents a gift to the University of Utah as a way of saying “thank you.” This year, the Senior Class would like to give back to the University by creating a bicycle rental program for the University community. The Ubike rental program will make new and used red bicycles available for free rental at the University Student Union, the hub of the campus. Students, faculty, and staff will be able to check out a bicycle for personal use for up to two weeks, free of charge. University of Utah Commuter Services has kindly agreed to match up to $15,000 in funds raised for Ubike. We encourage each senior to consider contributing $20.09 to commemorate graduation and to help put a new “spin” on campus!
Bring a bicycle lock that YOU trust to the Student Union Services Desk.
Present your lock and fill out a liability waiver to be saved on file for three years.
Collect the numbered Ubike Tag from the Union Services representative.
Take the Tag to the Ubike Shop, located on the Union Patio.
Present the Tag to the Ubike Mechanic in exchange for your very own Ubike.
Return the Ubike to the Ubike shop in two weeks, with no damage.
Come back for a ride soon and bring your friends!

By sponsoring: For just $400, you can “name” a bicycle after yourself, a loved one, your favorite professor, a business, or whatever. Sponsor a Bicycle
By donating: The Ubike rental program is in need of old and neglected bicycles. We will pick it up, fix it up, paint it red, and get it “spinning” again! To donate a bicycle, contact Joanne Beardshall for details, either by e-mail or by phone at (801) 581-3719.
