Wallace Stegner Centennial Celebration – March 5, 6, 7
In honor of the centennial of Wallace Stegner’s birth, the Wallace Stegner Center, in collaboration with on- and off-campus partners, has organized a series of activities celebrating Stegner’s life and legacy. On March 5, poet, farmer, and essayist Wendell Berry will sign books, followed by a reading; and on March 6 and 7, the Stegner Center’s 14th Annual Symposium will bring together former Stegner fellows, writers, poets, historians, conservationists, and politicians. College of Fine Arts Turns 60 – March 7-13
You only turn 60 once and the College of Fine Arts at the U is doing it in grand style. Honoring a rich tradition in the arts begun in 1888, the College of Fine Arts was founded in 1948 to encompass the departments of art and art history, ballet, film, modern dance, theatre and the School of Music.
