The Alumni Association's primary objectives are to reach out to the local, state and national communities by involving alumni in important initiatives and activities, such as:

  • Supporting students, which includes providing academic scholarships and helping maintain high quality undergraduate programs
  • Promoting grassroots advocacy on behalf of the University and higher education
  • Contributing to the betterment of the community through service projects
  • Extending University outreach by supporting development of state, regional, and national alumni chapters
  • Supporting University athletics through award programs, Homecoming Week, Founders Day, The MUSS athletics programs, and out-of-state alumni gatherings.
  • Alumni professional development programs specifically targeted to the needs associated with career goals, change and transition.

 


FREE Orientations are held weekly on Mondays from 5-6 p.m. in room 380 of the Student Services Building. The orientation will introduce you to the Alumni Career Services membership package. Here, participants will have an opportunity to meet our dedicated alumni counselors, and to become familiar with our membership program.

Notice: No Orientation on the 29th of December

*Alumni Association membership is not required in order to attend an Orientation.

Alumni Career Services (ACS) membership provides the following:

  • Orientations held weekly on Mondays from 5-6 p.m. in room 380 of the Student Services Building
  • Job Club, a weekly workshop group for members featuring guest speakers and informational sessions on:
    • Résumé Building
    • Company Research/Networking
    • Interviewing
    • Salary Negotiations
  • Career e-sources:
    • Career Search
    • Career Tools
    • Interview Mastery™
    • Vault Online
    • Database access to a job listing branded Web site.
  • Career counseling personalized to your needs
  • Office space (available by reservation) where members can make phone calls, plug in a laptop, and have a quiet place to work.
  • U of U Alumni Association membership for one year. (If you are already a member of the Association, the $36 annual dues will be subtracted from Career Services membership fees.)
