Spring 2009
As president of the Beehive Honor Society, I am pleased to introduce the new electronic version of Beeline. This newsletter is intended to provide you with information on Beehive events, fundraising initiatives, and other projects.

This year is already proving to be an exciting and eventful time: We recently changed the format of our traditional Beehive Honor Society Induction Ceremony. Instead of a sit-down dinner, we will host a reception (at no charge) beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 30. The Induction Ceremony will begin at 7:30 p.m. We will again be honored to have President Michael Young speak at the ceremony and welcome our 24 new inductees into the Beehive Honor Society. All Beehive members are encouraged to attend the reception, meet our new inductees, and connect with fellow Beehive members. We are excited about this new format and hope to see you on April 30! Contact Joanne Beardshall at (801) 581-3719 or joanne.beardshall@alumni.utah.edu to RSVP to the Beehive Honor Society Induction Ceremony.

In other good news, I am thrilled to announce that the Beehive Honor Society raised a remarkable amount of scholarship funds this year. As a result, we were able to award an additional undergraduate scholarship of $1,500. For the 2009-2010 academic year, we allocated four scholarships totaling $6,000. Thanks to all of our members who donated to our scholarship fund. We look forward to raising even more funds in the future.
